Originally from Fortín de las Flores, Mexico, Jose and his family emigrated to Texas in the late 1990’s. His father, already a noted chef imparted in Jose the love of cooking but his real passion was in the arts. Starting as a pinata designer in high school, Jose eventually tired of making art that ended up being destroyed and moved into graphic design for something more permanent. He got his big break designing album art for the Menudo boy-band reboot, His unique color pallets and designs got the attention of Cathedral of Hope. Now his creativity and art has become one of the churches greatest assets, though he still occasionally fills things with candy for the staff to attack with baseball bats.
