Saving Food, Giving Hope.

Have you seen the CoH van travelling around Dallas? If so, they are likely on a food rescue mission! We partner with North Texas Food Bank and through them we are able to collect thousands of pounds of food that would otherwise be wasted from agency partners such as Costco, Trader Joes, Walmart, Sprouts Farmers Market and others.

We use as much of the donations as we can for our meal programs, BACH, iCARE, and Taste of Hope.

The donations that we cannot use we then share with other people and non-profits in the Dallas area.

Here's How It Works:

Every Thursday we have a food distribution pop-up center here at CoH. The rescued fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, pastries, meats and other items are given to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. This is accomplished by volunteers who pack and distribute boxes of items to folks that have claimed a box using the EETZ rescue mobile app. which also allows folks to post rescues. Its EASY and FREE! The app not only identifies when CoH has food available but also other pop-up locations and times throughout the week.
