Bill came to Cathedral of Hope with his husband Clay Chancey in 2016. Bill became Director of Outreach Ministry in June 2020. Serving people that are experiencing food and housing insecurity, Bill oversees BACH “Breakfast at Cathedral of Hope”.  Every Saturday morning, we serve a hot breakfast.

Every Monday we serve a hot lunch along with food and toiletries from our pantry through our “iCARE” ministry.  Every Tuesday volunteers gather for “Taste of Hope" where they prepare hundreds of hot meals that are then distributed to our homeless population. 

Outreach also collects back to school supplies for students at Maple Lawn, David G. Burnet Elementary and Prism Health. 

Every November we collect baskets of Thanksgiving dinners for a family of four so that they can enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner at home. We give out over 500 baskets which in turn feeds over 2000 people that might otherwise not have a Thanksgiving meal. 

Four times a year volunteers prepare Blessing Bags filled with snacks, toiletries, and socks to hand out to people that might be at a street intersection in need.  

Bill also oversees Benevolence and HIV/AIDS Financial Assistance ministry.  Bill and Clay live in beautiful Oak Cliff with their Giant Schnauzer Joey.
