Bill came to Cathedral of Hope with his husband in 2016.  He started volunteering for iCARE in 2017 and became Outreach Coordinator in June 2020.  He oversees BACH, “Breakfast at Cathedral of Hope”.  Where every Saturday morning we serve a hot breakfast.  Every Monday we serve a hot lunch along with food and toiletries from our pantry through our “iCARE” ministry.  These meals are served to those suffering from food insecurities.  Twice a month volunteers gather for “Taste of Hope.  In private homes they prepare hundreds of hot meals that are then distributed to those suffering from food insecurity who are living on the streets.  He also coordinates “Pack the Pantry”.  Pantry donations are brought to our campus the last Sunday of every month to help stock the food pantry for our iCARE ministry.  In coordination with other staff members, he works to collect back to school supplies for students at Maple Lawn Elementary and Prism Health.  He also organizes, with the help of dedicated volunteers, our Thanksgiving Basket ministry.  Every November we collect baskets of Thanksgiving dinners for a family of four so that they can enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner at home.  We give out over 500 baskets which in turn feeds over 2000 people that might otherwise not have a Thanksgiving meal.  He and his husband Clay Chancey have been together for over 40 years and married for 5.
