Charles was born in Fort Worth Texas and holds a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree from Texas Tech University in Design Communication. He worked for Life of the Southwest as a designer for over 20 years.

Charles first came to CoH in 2001, a few months after his father passed away, it was a transformative experience that changed the direction of his life.  After becoming a TV ministry volunteer for several years, Charles produced a weekly TV series on DCTV called Music of Hope with help from then Director of TV Ministry Paul Taylor.  The 15 episode series was all music of the church and ranfor3 years. It was nominated for 9 DCTV awards winning 3 first place.

Eventually, Charles was hired in 2009 to do some of the graphics for the church, namely the "Weekly bulletin." This small part-time job quickly grew into a full-time position which he held for nearly10 years.

After retireing in 2018 and having many years of time away, Charles has returned to CoH to assist with the design and branding of the website.
