Greg Gifford


My professional experience in Human Resources (HR) focusing on leadership development, in which I hold a doctoral degree, is a strength I offer. HR is complex and dynamic. It is important that the Board of Stewards includes an HR professional to ensure that COH is

operating effectively, legally, and deliberately in all HR functions. My HR experience in conjunction with professional certifications allows me to provide HR expertise in areas such as compensation, hiring, and engagement.


I work as Vice President of Organizational and Leadership Development for Regions Bank and have worked in HR roles in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. As a board member, it is my desire to further the strategic goal of providing leadership development for clergy, staff, and volunteers to ensure the work of COH is strengthened and sustained into the future.


I commit to serving you and serving God in this role with a servant’s heart so that I can give back to this community that

has given me—and many others—the hope that is needed in our world today.
