SCRIPTURE
James 1.1-5
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
WORDS OF HOPE
As a diagnosed Schizophrenic, I was afraid of talking about God. As a Gay man, I was afraid of seeing God. And it’s still, to this day, what I challenge myself to do.
This means acknowledging everything God has done for me in my life, not publicly, but emotionally by ways of deep feelings of gratitude. But how do we get to a point where we can always feel grateful?
The truth is, we’re not supposed to. Sometimes, sadness is the most justified response…to loss, regret, and longing for the world we wish we could live in.
Dear ones, try. Try your best, not anything more. Because God provides the more, and more will come. More will come, the Spirit promises. So, let’s talk about promises, but first, let’s take a break because I think we all should just try our best to relax.
Do whatever you got to do, but just give yourselves a break. And your hearts. I’m praying for you all
PRAYER
1 Thessalonians 5.16-18
Rejoice always,
pray continually,
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Amen
