What do we mean when we say, "Progressive Christianity?" What does it look like for us to be "progressive Christians" at our beloved Cathedral of Hope? For many of us, we arrive at the Cathedral of Hope from varied religious and spiritual backgrounds including more conservative and evangelical backgrounds. This class, Let’s Talk About Progressive Christianity, is a foundational look at some of the basic tenets that are widely accepted by progressive Christians. We will explore topics such as the Bible, other religions, Jesus, love and compassion, justice and peace, questioning, inclusivity, and advocacy. And please know this, progressive Christians practice these ideas much differently than you may be accustomed to. This class is designed for those who are new to Cathedral of Hope or those who may want to deepen their spiritual journey by examining what it means to truly be a progressive Christian.
