About Us

The Hope in Recovery Group meets at Cathedral of Hope at 7:15 every Thursday. We’ll discuss topics from our curriculum, Hope in Recovery Workbook and Meeting Guide. As stated in the workbook, this is our purpose:

Are you feeling indifferent about your recovery and need a restart or a jump start? Are you new to recovery or want to start recovery and need support to begin a new chapter in your life?  Or are you a little turned off by or feeling that you don’t really fit into traditional 12-step groups?

Cathedral of Hope’s Hope in Recovery small group might be your answer! Our purpose, as laid out in the Life Recovery Bible, is:

• To bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people seeking recovery and wholeness in their lives

• To minister to those seeking recovery from life’s trials, problems, addictions, and dysfunctions

• To provide information, tools, and resources to those in need of recovery so that balance and order may be restored in their lives

• To promote active discussion of the Bible, steps to recovery, and personal experiences in recovery so that people can come closer to God, become stronger in God, and be spiritually nourished

• To provide an atmosphere where recovering people may feel comfortable sharing their faith

• To encourage mutual sharing of strength, hope and faith in God as it pertains to recovery 

• To attract others to a belief in God, as well as recovery

We believe that our recovery small group provides the space to seek spiritual connections and support as you define your recovery.  If you desire recovery from behaviors or addictions that are harmful to you and your loved ones, you are welcome. 

For safety reasons, we cannot allow anyone who is actively using substances to attend the meeting.
