It is as though I am waiting for the rain to come, but there’s only one cloud in the sky.
-Song of a Rain Dancer
A Word of Hope
Sometimes the rain won’t come until you first bring your umbrella. It’s not that easy believing in anything. Everything changes. How can you distinguish between what’s real and what’s not? Beyond all our reasoning, God calls us to recognize things as they are. -Like the angel called Gideon great when everyone else told him he was small. Elijah predicted the rain without any of our present day technology. Jesus said, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it in three days.”
Even so, what good is a sword if it is never used? The promises of God are a sword in our hands and yet, we hardly take the sword out its sheath by mentioning, declaring, and standing on God’s promises. We believe what should be the source of everlasting joy; we believe in the good news. Meditate on what you first believed. Jesus made a way for you and for everyone. You walk with the Lord even now as the Lord guides you through the valley.
Shall we fear evil? No! For God is with us. Jesus shall never leave nor forsake you. Do not fear what tomorrow shall bring. You are healed. You are not addicted. You will get through this. What you have been waiting for needs only be believed in. By faith ask and it shall be given unto you. Jesus told you that if you should say to a mountain, “Be removed,” that it will be done.
I met a man named Victor who is no longer with us. The doctors said he had cancer, but he never accepted their diagnosis. One day after I have moved on, when I meet Victor in good health, I hope to laugh with him and celebrate his victory. I want to be like this man. The Lord was his strength. Victor has risen.
Dear Lord you call me by name. You know who I am. Therefore, let the Creator’s will be done. Amen.
