Cathedral has led the way in this revolutionary understanding of God’s radically inclusive love for more than 50 years and, I believe has saved thousands of lives because of it. This journey of healing and discipleship, of becoming followers of Jesus is a commitment and a journey. It has a beginning, and I am sincerely praying that as we prepare to gather again this weekend that you have not only begun the journey, but you are already witnessing some shifts in how you perceive yourself as one of God’s beloveds, worthy of love. That you are valued and valuable.
Beyond our worship and small groups, our regular book studies, and Bible studies, we also offer what is called, The Walk. This is a three-day retreat where we get to share our stories and our lives in deeper ways. It is an opportunity to step into our giftedness and to be surrounded by fellow sojourners who are seeking out a more purposeful, meaningful and faithful life. Due to COVID-19 we have not been able to offer this weekend for some time, but I am delighted to let you know that we will be holding one this year. The next Walk will take place over the weekend of May 12-15, 2022. More information, as well as applications are currently being received. Click here for more information.
I have personally been on The Walk, and it really is a transformative time.
Be blessed and I do hope that you will be able to join me on Sunday as we continue our “To Be Loved” sermon series and think about how healing can help us on our journey!
